Activities: White Water Rafting, Bungi Jumping, Helicopter flight over the falls, tour of the town and even an elephant back safari.

Day Nine - Day Twelve Kwando

After breakfast you will be collected from your lodge for a road transfer to Kasane Airport, for your charter flight to Kwando Lagoon Camp. Here you will spend the next four nights.

Lagoon Camp lies on the shady banks of the Kwando River among tall and ancient African Ebony and Marula trees, under the watchful gaze of the resident hippos.

Morning and night game drives are conducted by specialist guides and trackers in open safari vehicles.

This area is home to huge herds of elephants and buffalo. There are few places in Africa where such concentrated numbers of these animals exist, especially in the dry season.

The predators are also well represented by lion, hyena, leopard, cheetah and wild dog. These animals are generally very relaxed in the presence of vehicles, meaning the sightings are usually at close range. Among the great variety of antelope species found at Lagoon, the endangered Sable and Roan are often seen. Seasonally, large herds of elephant drink almost daily at the river bank in front of the camp, in full view of the guests. The big herds attract big predators – the lions of Kwando are famous for their elephant, hippo and buffalo kills. Playful Spotted Necked Otters are commonly seen performing in the lagoon right in front of the tents.

Boat cruises along the kwando River provide excellent opportunities for birding. Also on offer is specialist fly-fishing and spinner fishing for Tiger fish and Bream. Some excellent catches have been made by Kwando guests.

Day Thirteen – Day Fourteen Depart Kwando for Mombo Camp

After your morning game drive and breakfast your charter plane will be waiting for you on the airstrip to fly you to Mombo Camp in the Okavango Delta, where you will be spending the next two nights with all meals and private game drives included

Mombo Camp is situated on Mombo Island, adjoining the northern tip of Chief's Island, and is within the Moremi Game Reserve in the Okavango Delta in northern Botswana. The island is surrounded by open floodplains and the camp itself is largely built in and around the shade of some large mangosteen, ebony and fig trees - overlooking a wonderful floodplain teeming with game.

The camp offers abundant big game viewing, arguably the best in Botswana. The highlight is the concentration of plains game and all the predators - including the big cats. Lion sightings are particularly good. Guests could also see Leopard, large herds of Buffalo, Cheetah, Wild Dog, Elephant, White and Black Rhino, Hyena, Giraffe, Wildebeest and Zebra.

Access into this area is only by aircraft.

Day Fifteen Depart Mombo for Journey Home

After your morning game drive or walk and breakfast your ranger will transfer you to the airstrip for your charter to Maun Airport, for your flight back to South Africa – to catch a connecting flight back home.
